How could it only be $1 ZOOM! There’s absolutely no catch! We participate with most dental Insurances which cover your routine exam and cleaning. Cash paying patients will cover the cost of their exam and cleaning themselves to be eligible for the $1 ZOOM! whitening.
Having your cleaning done immediately before your whitening treatment will ensure optimum results.
Your initial visit consists of meeting your new dental team, a comprehensive exam, x-rays and cleaning. At this visit, we ask that you provide us with 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Once the ZOOM! Teeth whitening is prescribed we can schedule that appointment.
Your ZOOM! Teeth whitening visit takes anywhere from 1 hour and 15 minutes to no more than 1 hour and 45 minutes.
The translucent bleaching gel is applied to the teeth and a blue light is used to activate the crystals that absorb the energy from the light and penetrate the teeth enamel to increase the lightning effect on the teeth. The biggest advantage of this procedure is that one visit is usually all it takes for a beautiful, bright smile.
While the majority of our patients do not experience sensitivity; everyone responds differently to ZOOM! We use the latest technology and lamps available. If you have a history of tooth sensitivity, we can discuss this at your initial visit and prescribe fluoride toothpaste and a desensitizer. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about these products and /or ways to prevent sensitivity.
Insurance plans do not cover procedures they consider a cosmetic expense, so we do not bill this to your insurance.
For the first 48 hours, we strongly recommend you avoid colored foods and beverages. If you’ve been looking to quit smoking, this is a good time to stop. Rinsing after every meal also helps prevent staining. Maintenance, diet, hygiene, and lifestyle are all critical factors in how effective and how long your new white smile lasts.
Remember: Anything that can stain a white t-shirt will stain your white teeth. You will want to avoid these foods at least in the first 72 hours after your ZOOM!
We have several options to help you maintain your new smile, including taking home trays with bleaching gel, take home whitening pen and ZQT (Zoom Quick Time – done in-office at your next hygiene visit in about 20 minutes). Our famous teeth whitening pens are for touch ups before going out or simply after a meal or a cup of coffee. Brushing 2-3 times each day, flossing daily, rinsing after eating when you can’t brush, and keeping your routine 6 month professional hygiene visits will also help to maintain your bright smile. A healthy diet lifestyle, and good hygiene maintenance are the keys to keeping your “pearly whites” their whitest!
